About Griffon Associates, Inc.

Formed in 1988, Griffon is a construction management and general contracting firm specializing in multi-family and single-family properties. In addition to its role as a general contractor for all of WBP's developments, Griffon has acted as principal in certain transactions, as well as general contractor for several clients. Griffon has substantial bonding capacity and its 2007-2008 construction volume exceeded $45,000,000.

Since its inception in 1988, Griffon has built or rehabilitated more than 2,400 rental housing units with an aggregate construction cost of over $200 million. In Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield Counties, Griffon has constructed more than 1,000 town homes, apartments and condominiums with an aggregate construction cost of over $230 million.

Michael Scirbona, Chief Operating Officer, has close to twenty five years of experience in a wide variety of areas of the construction industry. He joined the company as Pre-Construction Manager, spearheading the development and implementation of a centralized Purchasing and Estimating division. Under his direction the department flourished as his vision for process improvement brought a number of advancements including the restructuring of plan and review and product evaluation, the use of optimum value engineering (OVE) methodologies and the installation of Timberline/Builder MT databases. Earlier in his career, Mr. Scirbona served as Estimator/Purchaser for Ginsburg Development in a dual managerial role for the Westchester developer. Previously he was proprietor of a successful mechanical contracting company. Mr. Scirbona is responsible for all aspects of business operations for the Griffon team including project pre-construction planning, estimating, buyout and more recently, the additional responsibility of overseeing the Warranty function.

Robert E. Lodes, Jr., Senior Project Manager, has thirty years of field experience building diverse types of construction including retail, institutional, and single & multi-family residential. These projects have ranged from urban to suburban, in-fill to subdivision, demolition to restoration, renovation to new construction. Prior to joining Griffon Associates, Mr. Lodes held construction management positions with Argus Construction, Ginsburg Development Corp., and Toll Brothers, Inc. He earned his engineering degree from Lehigh University, and his Master's degree from Columbia University.
